BlueNote is classified as a compact America type bluegrass featuring excellent color, texture, density, and shade tolerance under normal to moderate fertility management, including lowered mowing heights. BlueNote has very good cold tolerance and better winter color than most varieties. It's aggressive, forming a dense compact turf, particularly in summer-where its broad range of disease resistance coupled with drought tolerance, contributes to uniform "full plot” coverage. BlueNote is adapted to a wide range of climates, and was tested at Guelph University.
