What Makes It Different

Magnesium sulphate supplies magnesium in a highly soluble form that plants can readily absorb. Magnesium is a key component of chlorophyll and plays a central role in photosynthesis. Supplementing magnesium helps improve turf colour and plant energy production, particularly in soils that are naturally low in magnesium.

We recommend keeping your seed in a cool dry location, especially after opening. This helps to maintain a high germination rate for an extended period of time.

Handling

Seed is safe to handle. However if you are sensitive to airborne particles you may want to wear a mask when adding your seed to a spreader for instance.

We ship Canada wide. Most orders are shipped with UPS. Canada Post is used for some locations.

Technical Details

Magnesium is a central component of chlorophyll molecules and plays a fundamental role in plant photosynthesis. Turfgrass plants require magnesium to capture light energy and convert it into chemical energy during photosynthesis. Research conducted through the University of Guelph Turfgrass Institute has shown that magnesium deficiency can lead to reduced chlorophyll production and pale turf colour.

Magnesium sulphate supplies magnesium in a soluble form that plants can readily absorb. In addition to magnesium, this amendment provides sulphur, which supports amino acid synthesis and plant metabolism. Studies from the Michigan State University Turfgrass Program indicate that correcting magnesium deficiencies can improve turf colour, photosynthetic efficiency, and overall plant health.
